Using the updated guide

Roku users will see the updated guide, if you’re using a different device or see a different experience, see instructions for our original guide.

Your feedback has helped us rebuild the guide experience! You can now:

• Customize your guide
  • You can hide Freestream channels so that your guide only shows the content you’re paying for.
  • Choose to hide whole categories you’re not interested in.
• Learn as you scroll
  • You’ll see the details of programs you’re browsing right in the guide.
• Browse shows and movies by category
  • Scroll through your reorganized guide, or press left to navigate by category. 
• Create a custom Favorites category
  • Highlight any channel logo and press OK to add that channel to your favorites.

Reading your guide 

Click all the way left to open the Main menu panel and find Search, DVR, On Demand, and more.

As you scroll the guide, you’ll see the following icons:

Set up a recording 

To record an upcoming program: 

• Select any upcoming program from the guide, then select Record.

To record something you're already watching:

• Press down to reveal more details and actions.
• Press the Record icon, then choose from the available options.

Show, hide, or sort channels 

Visit Guide options to manage favorites, sort channels, hide free channels, or choose preferred languages.

• From the Guide, navigate to the uppermost left corner and select Guide options. From here you can customize your guide.
  • Want to change it back? Open Guide options and select Reset guide settings.

Browse by category

Press left twice from the guide to scroll through categories, then select any category to jump to that section of the guide.

Missing channels?

• First, make sure you’re logged into your Sling account.
  • Navigate all the way left, you should be able to see your name. If not, sign in.
• Scroll through the guide and select any category to reveal all the channels in that category.
  • If the arrow is pointed down the channels in that category are visible.

• Select Show free channels at the bottom of any category to reveal any hidden channels.

Using the original guide

Reading your guide

Click all the way left to open the main menu panel and find Search, DVR, On Demand, and more.

As you scroll the guide, you’ll see the following icons:

• Recording
  • A red dot on any program lets you know if a show is actively recording or if you’ve scheduled it to record. 
• Parental lock
  • You’ll see this icon on programs that will be blocked by your Parental control settings. 
    • Enter your pin to unlock any blocked program.
    • To create or edit parental controls, go to Settings, select Manage Content, then select Parental controls.     
• Favorite channels
  • Select the any channel logo, then press up to highlight the heart icon for that channel. Press select to add the channel to your favorites list.

Set up a recording 

To record an upcoming program:

• Select any upcoming program from the guide, then select Record.

To record something you’re already watching:

• Press down to reveal more details and actions.
• Press the Record icon, then choose from the available options. 

Filter by category 

Press left twice from the guide to scroll through categories, then select any category to see only those channels. 

To see all the available channels, press left then scroll to the top of the category list and select All.

Missing channels?

• First, make sure you’re logged into your Sling account.
  • Navigate all the way left, you should be able to see your name. If not, sign in.
• If you’re only seeing one category of channels, press left to reveal the categories, then scroll to the top of the category list and select All to go back to viewing all available channels.
