Billing and Payment FAQs
How does billing work for Sling subscriptions?
You’ll be charged for 1 month of your Sling subscription the day you sign up, and your access begins immediately. Subscriptions will automatically renew on the same date each month until you cancel.
Promotions like Season Pass allow new customers to save money by prepaying for a longer duration. Once the period you paid for in advance ends, your subscription will continue at the regular monthly rate until you cancel.
Payments are processed using the debit card, credit card, or digital wallet on file. For full billing policy details, see our Terms of Use.
How does billing work for Sling passes?
Day, Week, and Weekend Passes are a one time charge.
Day Pass and Week Pass access begins as soon as you complete your purchase.
Weekend Passes can be purchased during the previous week, and access will begin on Friday at 4AM.
What payment methods can I use?
Sling accepts debit and credit cards, or you can select Express Pay in checkout to use tools like PayPal, Apple Pay, Google Pay and Amazon Pay.
- Sling will charge your selected payment method immediately, and your subscription will begin right away.
Who should I contact if I have billing issues?
If you signed up through sling.com, Sling customer service can help with billing changes, troubleshooting, or refunds. Ask for billing help in our chatbot.
Customers who signed up with Sling through the mobile app can get customer support in the Sling chatbot if they used a credit card, PayPal, or Amazon Pay. However, if you used Apple Pay or Google Pay to sign up through the Sling app, your payments are managed by those providers directly. Contact Apple Pay or Google Pay for support.

- If you’re switching from Orange & Blue to our smaller Select plan, your channels will adjust immediately and you’ll receive a prorated credit reflecting the price difference.
- If you’re switching from Orange & Blue to a smaller plan, changes won’t take place until your billing cycle ends. Your next bill will reflect the lower price.
- If you add channels or Extras:
- You’ll be charged immediately for any add-ons at a prorated rate for the remainder of your billing period. On your next billing date, these will be included as part of your bill. The new content is typically available within minutes.
- If you remove channels or Extras:
- You’ll retain access to the content until your current cycle ends and your new price will be reflected on your next bill.
